Special Education Teacher (SPED) - Summary- Full-time position focused on elementary grade levels
- Responsible for planning and delivering individualized and group instruction
- Collaborates with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Manages and monitors all aspects of IEPs for assigned students
- Promotes an inclusive classroom environment that addresses diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to students’ individual goals and IEPs
- Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction as necessary
- Facilitate collaboration among general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student learning
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
- Create a safe, engaging, and structured classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth
