Special Education Teacher (SPED) - Summary- Full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Based in Salisbury, PA, serving a diverse classroom population
- Focused on implementing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborative school environment with support from educational staff and administration
- Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students within a positive, inclusive classroom setting
- Employ specialized teaching strategies and techniques tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
- Deliver academic instruction in core subjects using approaches such as phonetics, multi-sensory learning, and repetition
- Promote and teach socially acceptable behaviors as outlined in each student's IEP, utilizing positive behavioral support systems
- Adapt and modify the general education curriculum through a range of instructional methods and technologies to meet the needs of students with disabilities
- Establish, communicate, and enforce classroom rules and procedures that create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
