Special Education Teacher (Elementary, SPED) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

- Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and adjusting instruction to meet individual student goals.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to ensure the integration of students with special needs into classroom activities and school life.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, self-advocacy, and independence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on student performance, attendance, and compliance requirements.
- Engage proactively with families and caregivers to communicate student progress and address concerns or questions.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school initiatives as required by the district and BlueCloud Staffing.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a closely related field.
- Active or eligible Pennsylvania (PA) Special Education certification.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and families.
