Special Education Teacher (Elementary, SPED) - Summary- Full-time, contract opportunity focused on elementary education within a student-first district.
- Deliver individualized instruction and support for students with special needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success.
- Develop and implement IEPs that address academic, social, and behavioral goals.
- Work in a supportive and resource-rich environment.
- Design and deliver effective, differentiated instruction for elementary students with special needs, addressing a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and adjusting instruction to meet individual student goals.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff to ensure the integration of students with special needs into classroom activities and school life.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, self-advocacy, and independence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on student performance, attendance, and compliance requirements.
- Engage proactively with families and caregivers to communicate student progress and address concerns or questions.
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school initiatives as required by the district and BlueCloud Staffing.
