Job Type: Full Time
Company: Provn
Salary: $200K-$250K base OTE
Category: Remote
The Solutions Architect role at Provn is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact team supporting a Series A startup at the forefront of artificial intelligence safety and alignment. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in bridging cutting-edge AI technology and real-world enterprise needs. This role focuses on making advanced AI models safer through improved evaluation, human feedback, and alignment data, leveraging insights rooted in psychology and clinical expertise. With backing from prominent investors, the organization is addressing one of the most complex challenges in the AI sector today.
As the first Solutions Architect hire and a founding member of the go-to-market team, you will work closely with the Head of Sales and Account Executives on enterprise-level engagements. Your responsibilities will include conducting technical discovery sessions, shaping solutions, and de-risking deals with buyers such as ML platform leads, safety and alignment teams, and data organizations. You will also define and develop the Solutions Architecture function from the ground up, setting the standard for engagement models, success metrics, and best practices within the company.
The Solutions Architect position is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or similar customer-facing technical roles. Your background may include early-stage startup experience, particularly as a first or early solutions architect, and a proven track record of success in enterprise SaaS sales, particularly with API-first or platform products. You will excel in this role if you have experience engaging with ML and AI platform teams, data organizations, or developer-focused buyers, and are comfortable managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical sales cycles.
In this role, you will run technical discovery sessions with ML platform teams and safety and alignment leaders, own the end-to-end technical validation process, and design integrations that connect platforms, APIs, and human services into customer AI/ML workflows. Advising customers on implementing evaluation pipelines, human feedback loops, red teaming, and annotation systems will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also build lightweight prototypes and API integrations to support business development, and create a comprehensive Solutions Architect playbook that defines engagement models, demo assets, and reference architectures.
Beyond technical expertise, you will serve as a bridge between customer conversations and internal product and engineering teams, providing valuable feedback that shapes the company’s product roadmap. You will need strong instincts for translating complex technical concepts for business stakeholders, a high degree of ownership, curiosity, and the ability to create structure in ambiguous environments.
Provn is committed to inclusive hiring practices. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The company’s application process is challenge-based and merit-first, giving every candidate an opportunity to showcase their critical thinking and solution-oriented skills.
