In this full-time role, based in Dallas, TX, you will play a crucial part in overseeing software asset management, vendor relationships, and compliance to optimize software investments and support the organization’s enterprise technology operations. As a Software Asset Manager, you will help drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance across the organization’s software portfolio.
The Software Asset Manager will be responsible for managing the complete software asset lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, compliance, renewal, and retirement. You will work closely with internal teams and external software vendors to oversee contracts, manage vendor relationships, and support compliance initiatives. Your expertise with ServiceNow SAM Pro will be essential in tracking software assets, automating workflows, and generating detailed reports to support strategic decision-making. Your actions will directly impact the efficiency and compliance of the organization’s IT infrastructure.
In the Software Asset Manager position, you will act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and software vendors. Software Asset Manager - Summary- Oversee the end-to-end management of software assets and vendor relationships within enterprise IT environments.
- Utilize ServiceNow SAM Pro for asset tracking, workflow automation, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements, internal policies, and industry regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for software vendors, supporting contract negotiation and management.
- Drive process improvements and cost optimization initiatives related to software assets.

- Conduct regular compliance audits and support license true-ups and reporting activities.

- Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) supporting enterprise environments.
- At least 3 years of experience managing software vendors and participating in vendor negotiations.
- Proficient with ServiceNow SAM Pro for software asset tracking and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting software license audits, compliance reviews, and true-ups.
- Strong understanding of software licensing agreements and compliance frameworks.
