We are seeking a highly skilled Software Asset Manager (SAM) to join our client’s dynamic IT organization. In this full-time role, based in Dallas, TX, you will play a crucial part in overseeing software asset management, vendor relationships, and compliance to optimize software investments and support the organization’s enterprise technology operations. As a Software Asset Manager, you will help drive efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance across the organization’s software portfolio.

The Software Asset Manager will be responsible for managing the complete software asset lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, compliance, renewal, and retirement. You will work closely with internal teams and external software vendors to oversee contracts, manage vendor relationships, and support compliance initiatives. Your expertise with ServiceNow SAM Pro will be essential in tracking software assets, automating workflows, and generating detailed reports to support strategic decision-making. Your actions will directly impact the efficiency and compliance of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

In the Software Asset Manager position, you will act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and software vendors. This role requires a deep understanding of software licensing agreements, compliance audits, and vendor management best practices. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in software asset management and vendor negotiations, ensuring that software resources are utilized efficiently and that all regulatory and contractual obligations are met.
