The Shipping Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing daily shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. This position is responsible for managing a team, optimizing workflow, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines. As a Shipping Supervisor, you will utilize your leadership abilities and technical expertise to coordinate shipping processes involving carriers such as USPS, FedEx, and UPS, while also operating warehouse equipment like standup forklifts and electric pallet jacks. Shipping Supervisor - Summary- Oversees shipping operations and team leadership in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Coordinates with carriers including USPS, FedEx, and UPS for outbound shipments
- Ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and shipping regulations
- Utilizes SAP or similar ERP systems for tracking and documentation
- Operates standup forklifts and electric pallet jacks as needed
- Supervise and lead a team of 10-15 shipping associates, providing direction, training, and performance feedback
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily shipping activities to meet company and customer requirements
- Prepare, verify, and process shipping documents using SAP or similar software
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment, including standup forklifts and electric pallet jacks
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve shipping issues and improve workflow
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and carrier transactions
- Conduct regular safety checks and enforce safety protocols among team members
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new shipping staff
- Monitor carrier performance and address any service-related concerns
- Occasionally cover additional shifts as required to support business needs

- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional coverage of other shifts
