Shipping and Receiving Specialist - SummaryAs a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you are entrusted with managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, focusing on both inbound and outbound shipments. Your proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and material handling equipment ensures that all products are handled, stored, and shipped according to strict quality and safety standards. Duties & Responsibilities- Operate Raymond and Crown forklifts and other advanced material handling equipment safely and efficiently to facilitate loading, unloading, and internal transportation of goods.
- Fulfill orders accurately, including retrieving items from high storage locations and preparing shipments to meet exacting standards and prevent damage.
- Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists, documenting discrepancies and ensuring product integrity.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments using best practices for safety and accuracy during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and uphold inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and OSHA regulations, promoting a culture of safety throughout warehouse operations.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to optimize workflows and resolve bottlenecks.

- Minimum of two years of experience in shipping, receiving, or related warehouse operations.
- Hands-on experience operating Raymond and Crown forklifts; current certification is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer literacy for data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Current certification for reach truck PIT equipment (Crown and Raymond) with no more than a one-year lapse in certification is preferred.
- At least one year of recent experience operating reach trucks.
- Availability to work overnight shifts and flexibility for occasional overtime or weekend work as needed.
- Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and consistently ensures accuracy in shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
