Shipping and Receiving Clerk - Summary
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for a wide range of duties related to the receiving, inspection, movement, and shipment of goods. You will work closely with other team members to transport materials, ensure product quality, and maintain accurate records. The role requires physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to follow precise instructions to meet company standards. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will help maintain an organized warehouse and support production operations by keeping materials and finished goods moving efficiently. Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely move and handle products, including glass, from tables, furnaces, rolling racks, delivery trucks, and wooden crates throughout your shift
- Transport materials between workstations and departments to support continuous production flow
- Read and accurately follow work instructions, labels, tags, and picking lists
- Inspect goods for defects, damage, or abnormalities and report any concerns promptly
- Utilize tape measures and perform basic measurements to confirm product specifications
- Assist in shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and general warehouse operations
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure product accuracy throughout the production process
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all company safety policies and PPE requirements
- Support multiple areas of production and rotate job functions as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership or management

Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs individually and up to 150 lbs with team assistance
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities
- Flexible work availability, including overtime and occasional weekends as required
- Previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, or production environments preferred
- Forklift and overhead crane experience considered a plus
- Glass industry experience is advantageous but not required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
