Shipping and Receiving Clerk - Summary
- Key team member responsible for processing incoming and outgoing shipments
- Ensures all materials meet quality standards and are accurately logged in inventory systems
- Operates warehouse equipment and maintains compliance with all safety and customs regulations
- Supports the efficiency and accuracy of warehouse and logistics operations
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Quality Control to verify that all incoming goods comply with company standards and requirements
- Process production orders for work-in-progress (WIP) parts and prepare them for shipment
- Track inventory levels and update order status using JD Edwards and WMS systems
- Prepare accurate shipping documents, including invoices and packing lists, for all outbound shipments
- Load trailers for both domestic and international shipments, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods
- Maintain customs compliance by following C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) procedures and other regulatory requirements
- Perform daily equipment checks and safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed
- Adapt to changing work requirements and be available to work overtime as business needs dictate
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and enhance workflow

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred
- Proficiency with JD Edwards and warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly advantageous
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks; certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with customs compliance and C-TPAT procedures preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required
- Willingness to work 3rd shift hours and overtime when necessary
