Sheet Metal Superintendent - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise installation work on sheet metal and piping systems, ranging from small to large, complex projects
- Administer and uphold company safety programs to maintain a safe work environment for all personnel
- Demonstrate and instruct proper work methods and techniques to team members
- Ensure availability of plans, blueprints, materials, and tools for projects; manage procurement of required stock
- Resolve work-related challenges by obtaining necessary information or decisions from senior supervisors
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of procedures, policies, technical directives, and answer questions from the crew
- Monitor workload and productivity, ensuring all crew members remain engaged and efficient
- Inspect ongoing and completed work to verify adherence to instructions, sequences, procedures, and deadlines
- Lead and motivate workers to achieve project goals and comply with instructions
- Enforce safety and housekeeping rules at all times on-site
- Report progress, status updates, and any delays to superintendents and project managers
- Serve as a point of contact for supervisors and provide insights on overall operations and challenges

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of verifiable experience in the sheet metal trade
- At least 3 years of proven supervisory experience in a similar role
- Comprehensive understanding of piping blueprints, project specifications, and relevant codes
- Knowledge of other major craft blueprints and all aspects of sheet metal and piping systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with team members and clients
- Demonstrated ability to supervise multiple foremen and lead diverse project teams
- Proven project scheduling and deadline management skills
