Sewer Installation Crew Leader - Summary- Lead and supervise a crew responsible for the installation, repair, and replacement of water and sewer lines for residential and commercial clients.
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment safely and efficiently, including excavators, skid steers, jackhammers, and boring machines.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the crew, customers, dispatch, managers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and with minimal disruption to customer property.
- Direct and oversee daily operations of the sewer installation crew, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
- Review project plans, site locations, and material requirements prior to job commencement.
- Coordinate communication between customers, internal teams, and third-party inspectors throughout each project.
- Monitor crew productivity and quality of work, providing mentorship and on-the-job training as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked company vehicle and equipment inventory.
- Complete accurate job documentation and required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and leadership training sessions.

- Proven experience leading sewer installation or excavation crews in a residential or commercial setting.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including excavators and skid steers.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
- Relevant certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain required credentials with company support.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform demanding manual labor.
- Experienced in managing teams and leading by example in the field.
- Knowledgeable about sewer, water line repair, and excavation processes.
- Effective communicator comfortable interacting with customers and internal teams.
