Service Manager – HVAC/R Summary- Lead and develop a team of commercial HVAC/R service technicians.
- Drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction across the service department.
- Collaborate with dispatch and operations to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, continuous improvement, and accountability.
- Lead, coach, and mentor HVAC/R service technicians through field visits, training, and one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Conduct regular ride-alongs and field observations to evaluate technician performance and provide actionable feedback.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and retain top technician talent to build a high-performing team.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, average ticket, callback rates, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize data and reporting tools to identify performance trends and develop improvement plans.
- Collaborate with dispatch and scheduling teams to optimize technician utilization and ensure timely service delivery.
- Support escalated customer concerns, ensure prompt service recovery, and maintain high standards of communication.
- Uphold safety standards, quality workmanship, and accurate documentation throughout all service operations.
- Support departmental growth through forecasting, budgeting, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, customer retention, and operational performance.

- Proven experience in a leadership role such as Service Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager, Regional Manager, or Field Supervisor.
- Background in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, or related home service industries is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop service technicians for optimal performance.
- Strong track record of managing KPIs and improving departmental performance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
