Senior Systems Engineer (MSP) - Summary
As a Senior Systems Engineer (MSP), you will be responsible for consulting, designing, and implementing advanced IT solutions in a fast-paced managed services setting. Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and troubleshoot Microsoft Cloud environments for multiple clients, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Administer and maintain a variety of system and network environments, including Windows Server, Exchange, RDS, SQL, and IIS.
- Lead and participate in IT project management, from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Design and deploy server and network solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Collaborate with technology vendors to source, evaluate, and integrate new solutions into client infrastructures.
- Develop strategic IT plans that align with client business objectives and future growth.
- Provide advanced diagnostics and remediation for server, storage, and network issues.
- Produce clear, concise documentation and end-user instructions to facilitate knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced managed services provider environment.
- Participate in the on-call support rotation to provide timely technical assistance.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and evolving cyber threats to ensure clients remain protected and competitive.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in system design, administration, installation, and troubleshooting within a managed services provider (MSP) environment.
- Deep expertise with Active Directory, Windows Server technologies (Windows Server, Exchange, RDS, SQL, IIS).
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, Office 365, AWS, Google Cloud, and G-Suite.
- Strong diagnostic, repair, and installation skills for server and network systems.
- Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware, Nutanix, SANs, and clustering.
- Solid understanding of networking technologies: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switches, firewalls, DNS, VPN, and VoIP (Cisco, Fortinet, Sonicwall).
- Familiarity with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools such as NinjaONE, Kaseya, or ConnectWise.
- Experience using Professional Services Automation (PSA) software, including Autotask or ConnectWise.
- Working knowledge of security policies and NIST controls.
- Certification in one or more: Microsoft Server, Fortinet, Cisco, VMware, Nutanix, Windows Server, Storage Networking.
- Preferred certifications: MCSA Server or MCSE, Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, Nutanix.
