Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all phases of assigned construction projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, maintaining open communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide strong leadership to project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Oversee project documentation, including control of contracts, submittals, RFIs, and change orders, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Develop project budgets, conduct buy-outs, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare cost proposals, manage change orders, and monitor budgets to maintain cost controls.
- Manage project accounting functions, including owner billings and subcontractor payments.
- Create, update, and manage critical path method (CPM) schedules to track project progress and identify key milestones.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and installation.
- Collaborate closely with architects, designers, owners, subcontractors, and field personnel to resolve issues and optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial and/or public works construction projects, including multiple simultaneous projects or large, complex assignments.
- A four-year degree in construction management, construction science, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of current construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and coordinate multiple stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software such as MS Project.
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving history.
- Experience with school bond programs (e.g., SDUSD, LAUSD) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Procore project management software.
- Experience in higher education and healthcare construction markets is advantageous.
