Senior Project Manager – Construction (DSA/K-12, CPM) Summary- Lead multi-million dollar K-12 school construction projects from kickoff to final delivery
- Full project ownership, including schedule, budget, team coordination, and stakeholder relations
- Serve as the primary liaison with district and school officials, maintaining strong, positive working relationships
- Manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal field teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Ensure all phases comply with DSA permitting and inspection requirements
- Collaborate closely with project superintendents and field leaders
- Position based in Sacramento, CA, with no travel outside the local region
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of K-12 school construction projects, including planning, execution, and closeout
- Coordinate structural, MEP, and interior scopes, ensuring all work aligns with project goals and timelines
- Act as the main point of contact for school district representatives and other stakeholders
- Drive project schedules, monitor budgets, and ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards
- Administer DSA permitting processes and manage all related inspections
- Build and sustain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and local trade partners
- Leverage project management software (Procore, MS Project, Excel) to track progress and report updates
- Foster a collaborative environment among all project participants

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager on K-12, public, or municipal projects
- Demonstrated expertise with DSA permitting and public sector stakeholder management
- Comprehensive understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and public agency communication
- Proficient in MEP coordination, renovation, and remodel scopes
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with project management software including Procore, MS Project, and Excel
- Local trade relationships in Sacramento or surrounding areas preferred
- Proactive, solutions-oriented leader passionate about educational construction
- Proven track record managing multi-phase, multi-million dollar K-12 projects
