As a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) - Healthcare, you will take the lead in pre-design, design, project management, and construction administration of healthcare electrical projects. Your hands-on involvement will include performing field surveys, preparing site assessment reports, developing schematic and detailed electrical designs, and ensuring that all work adheres to California Electrical Code, Energy Standards, and healthcare-specific regulations. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural professionals, ensuring seamless project integration and delivery.
The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and preferably holds a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license. You bring at least 10 years of relevant experience, showcasing your ability to independently manage complex healthcare electrical design projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive successful client outcomes. Proficiency with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit is essential, as is familiarity with HCAI requirements. Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) - Healthcare Summary- Lead and execute electrical engineering projects for healthcare facilities

- Develop electrical schematic designs and power single line/riser diagrams
- Perform electrical calculations including arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, and load flow using ETAP/SKM
- Select appropriate lighting fixtures and power equipment; design lighting and power circuiting
- Design and coordinate lighting control systems and fire alarm device layouts per NFPA 72 and International Fire Code
- Develop detailed plans, elevations, schedules, and ensure adherence to CAD/BIM standards
- Apply relevant California Electrical Code and Energy Standards
- Coordinate with other disciplines including mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural professionals
- Edit and review project specifications
- Manage multiple large-scale projects, mentor design engineers, and prepare client proposals
- Support business development by nurturing client relationships
- Oversee construction administration, including reviewing RFIs, equipment submittals, and conducting punch walks with reporting
