Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) – Healthcare Summary
- Lead and manage the design and implementation of electrical systems for healthcare and hospital buildings
- Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure cohesive project delivery
- Oversee all phases of project development from pre-design to construction administration
- Utilize advanced engineering software and maintain compliance with healthcare-specific standards
- Mentor and support the professional growth of junior and design engineers
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys and prepare detailed site assessment reports
- Create and review electrical schematic designs, power single line and riser diagrams
- Perform electrical calculations such as arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, and load flow using ETAP/SKM
- Select appropriate lighting fixtures and power equipment, design lighting and power circuits, and coordinate lighting control systems
- Prepare fire alarm device layouts, riser diagrams, calculations, and sequence of operations in accordance with applicable codes
- Develop enlarged plans, elevations, schedules, and technical details adhering to CAD/BIM standards
- Apply knowledge of California Electrical Code and Energy Standards to design medium and low voltage systems
- Edit and update project specifications
- Manage multiple large-scale projects, including coordinating with senior engineers and sub-consultants
- Prepare client proposals independently and foster business development with new and existing clients
- Review and respond to RFIs, evaluate equipment submittals, and conduct punch walks with comprehensive reporting

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of electrical engineering experience, with a focus on healthcare and hospital projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead electrical design teams and manage projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit software platforms
- Familiarity with Healthcare Access and Information (HCAI) requirements
- Strong project management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and inquisitive approach to problem-solving
