Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) – Healthcare Summary
- Lead and execute electrical engineering projects for healthcare and hospital facilities.
- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure project success.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-design engineering tasks, including field surveys and site assessments for hospital and healthcare projects.
- Prepare electrical schematic designs, single line diagrams, and riser diagrams for power distribution systems.
- Perform detailed electrical calculations using ETAP, SKM, and other relevant software for arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, and load flow analysis.
- Select appropriate lighting fixtures, power equipment, and design lighting and power circuiting for healthcare environments.
- Develop, coordinate, and design lighting control and fire alarm systems in compliance with International Fire Code and NFPA 72.
- Create enlarged plans, elevations, schedules, and technical details using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring adherence to CAD/BIM standards.
- Apply knowledge of California Electrical Code and Energy Standards to medium and low voltage system design.
- Coordinate design efforts across disciplines such as mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural teams.
- Edit and update project specifications to meet client and regulatory requirements.
- Manage multiple large-scale projects, providing mentorship and technical guidance to design engineers and team members.
- Independently prepare proposals, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Oversee construction administration, including reviewing and responding to RFIs, evaluating submittals, conducting punch walks, and preparing punch list reports.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on healthcare or hospital projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams of design engineers.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, and SKM software platforms.
- Familiarity with HCAI requirements and healthcare-specific codes and standards.
- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and project management skills.
