Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data ingestion pipelines, including support for full data loads, incremental data processing, and change data capture methodologies.
- Build and support data integration solutions leveraging SQL Server and API-driven approaches to streamline data flow across the organization.
- Develop, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows to transfer and transform data into centralized data platforms, supporting both data warehouse and data lake environments.
- Optimize SQL queries, index structures, and overall database performance to ensure scalable and efficient data processing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to data quality, pipeline failures, or performance bottlenecks, maintaining high levels of data integrity and system reliability.
- Design and implement robust monitoring, alerting, and validation processes to enhance the stability and reliability of all data pipelines.
- Participate in architecture discussions, focusing on scalability, performance, and operational excellence within the data engineering ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with architects, application developers, and other data engineering professionals to support seamless end-to-end data movement and integration.
- Conduct code reviews and participate in technical design discussions, championing engineering best practices throughout the team.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including process flows and implementation diagrams for data solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Extensive experience in designing and supporting enterprise data ingestion and synchronization pipelines.
- Advanced expertise in SQL Server, with a proven track record in query optimization, performance tuning, index design, and troubleshooting complex database issues.
- Hands-on experience developing SSIS packages and managing data movement workflows.
- Solid background in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines within data warehouse or data lake environments.
- Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud-based data engineering solutions, including services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing cloud-native data pipelines.
- Experience with .NET-based data processing solutions and working knowledge of Python for data engineering tasks.
- Expertise in implementing data validation, reconciliation, and data quality processes to maintain data integrity.
- Skilled in designing monitoring, observability, and alerting solutions for production data pipelines.
- Experience using Git, Bitbucket, or similar source control and release management tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across technical teams.
