Senior Accountant - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end close activities by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis for management review.
- Participate in transformative projects to optimize shared service processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Lead accounting projects, including the development and testing of standard operating procedures (SOPs) associated with ERP upgrades.
- Analyze financial data to identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve workflow and compliance.
- Ensure all accounting procedures comply with internal standards and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Collaborate with colleagues in other departments to facilitate seamless financial operations and reporting processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, software tools, and accounting standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience, with preference given to candidates with private accounting backgrounds.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with SAP and familiarity with ERP system upgrades or testing is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and execute process improvement initiatives within accounting functions.
