School Psychologist (School Psych) – K-12 Summary
As a School Psychologist (School Psych), you will be responsible for conducting psychoeducational assessments, participating in multidisciplinary teams, and supporting students through counseling and intervention plans. Your expertise will help inform educational and behavioral strategies to promote positive student outcomes. You will also serve as a critical liaison between families, educators, and community resources, ensuring the holistic needs of students are met.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and reevaluations utilizing standardized tools and best practices
- Present detailed reports and informed recommendations during IEP meetings and eligibility determinations
- Collaborate with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) teams to plan interventions and guide data-driven decision making
- Assist in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and developing effective Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed based on data and observation
- Provide short-term counseling, crisis triage, and facilitate referrals to appropriate resources for students in need
- Engage in regular communication with families, school staff, and community partners to support student success
- Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to regulatory timelines, and ensure compliance with IDEA and Section 504 requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid WA ESA School Psychologist certification
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
