School Psychologist (School Psych) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for eligibility categories such as Specific Learning Disability (SLD), Other Health Impairment (OHI), Emotional Disturbance (ED), Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other qualifying conditions
- Provide risk assessments and deliver crisis support services to students as needed
- Offer short-term counseling and practical coping strategies to students experiencing challenges
- Assist in supporting attendance initiatives, executive functioning skill development, and effective transition planning for students advancing toward post-secondary opportunities
- Work collaboratively with school counselors, behavioral teams, and other educational professionals to design and implement effective support plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, interventions, and student progress
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team discussions
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and district policies regarding student assessment and mental health services

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid WA ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Certification required
- Experience working with secondary students is preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
