School Psychologist (School Psych) - Summary
As a School Psychologist (School Psych), you will utilize your expertise in psychology and education to identify student needs and collaborate with educators and families to foster a healthy learning environment. This role is integral in supporting students' academic and behavioral success through assessment, consultation, and intervention. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to address a variety of challenges faced by students, ensuring their individual needs are met in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify student strengths and areas of need.
- Interpret assessment data and provide actionable recommendations to teachers, administrators, and parents.
- Develop and implement targeted intervention plans to address academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to support their social and emotional development.
- Consult with educators, parents, and other professionals to design and implement effective instructional and behavioral strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 planning sessions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs that promote a positive school climate.
- Support crisis intervention efforts and provide guidance during emergencies or critical incidents.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive student information.
- Adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards in all aspects of practice.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field required.
- Current and valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist (School Psych) as per applicable regulations.
- Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and providing counseling services in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP process, and relevant federal and state regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
