School Psychologist (School Psych) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments to identify student strengths and areas of need
- Interpret assessment data and prepare detailed reports for use in educational planning
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families
- Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, behavior, and academic challenges
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student learning and well-being
- Assist in developing and implementing behavioral intervention strategies and crisis response plans
- Support the creation of safe and inclusive learning environments
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed of best practices in school psychology

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Current or eligible Pennsylvania School Psychologist certification
- Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
