This position is particularly rewarding for individuals who are passionate about promoting positive learning environments and committed to evidence-based practices that improve student outcomes across K-12 populations.
As a School Psychologist, your responsibilities will encompass conducting psychoeducational evaluations, participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and interpreting assessment results to inform eligibility determinations and re-evaluations. Your expertise will be called upon to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals, to design and implement effective intervention strategies. Through active participation in the development and execution of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), you will contribute to the creation of safe and supportive learning environments.
This School Psychologist position requires a thorough understanding of federal and state regulations, particularly those related to IDEA and Pennsylvania-specific compliance. You will be expected to consistently maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with these guidelines, ensuring that all processes align with current legal and ethical standards. Your role will also involve providing behavioral consultation and supporting the implementation of targeted intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of students.
Collaboration is at the core of the School Psychologist role. You will work closely with families to help them understand assessment results and recommendations, supporting them as they navigate the complexities of special education services. Your ability to communicate effectively and build strong professional relationships will be critical as you advocate for students and contribute to the development of inclusive educational practices.
To be successful in this position, you must possess an advanced degree in School Psychology and hold active certification as a School Psychologist. Experience with school-based evaluations, IEP processes, and familiarity with Pennsylvania compliance requirements are highly valued. Additional clearances such as the PA State Police Criminal Record Check (Act 34), PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151), FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114), and completion of Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training are essential for maintaining the highest standards of student safety and regulatory compliance.
The organization offers competitive compensation with both hourly and salaried options, along with weekly pay and direct deposit. You will have access to a dedicated recruiter, ongoing support, and opportunities for extended school year (ESY) and long-term placements. Onboarding and compliance support are streamlined to make your transition into the role as smooth as possible.
