School Psychologist - Summary
As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in strengthening schoolwide systems, focusing on MTSS and SEL frameworks. You will support universal screenings, schoolwide data reviews, and collaborate on the development of Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention plans. The position also involves coaching educators, participating in behavior teams, assisting with PBIS efforts, and contributing to crisis prevention and staff training initiatives. Your work will directly support the academic and social-emotional well-being of students, while also fostering a positive school culture and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the educational system.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support and conduct universal screenings to identify student needs across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains.
- Participate in schoolwide data reviews to inform intervention and instructional strategies.
- Coach and consult with teachers on integrating effective intervention strategies and SEL practices into classroom instruction.
- Help develop and implement evidence-based Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention plans tailored to individual or group student needs.
- Actively participate in school behavior teams and support Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) efforts.
- Collaborate on SEL initiatives to promote student well-being and resilience.
- Assist in crisis prevention, response, and recovery efforts within the school setting.
- Lead and participate in staff training focused on best practices in intervention, crisis management, and SEL integration.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid WA ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification in School Psychology.
- Demonstrated experience in providing systems-level support within educational settings preferred.
- Strong understanding of MTSS and SEL frameworks, with proven ability to implement evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and coaching skills.
- Ability to participate in and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
