School Psychologist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to identify student needs and strengths
- Collaborate with interpreters and work closely with multilingual families to ensure effective communication and culturally sensitive support
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions, focusing on social-emotional growth and behavioral health
- Assist with the implementation of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) interventions and behavior planning strategies to foster a positive school environment
- Offer resource referrals to community agencies and facilitate parent education workshops to empower families
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and intervention plans
- Advocate for students’ rights and access to appropriate educational resources and services
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student needs holistically

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid WA Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification in School Psychology
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or a closely related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychoeducational assessment tools and best practices
- Experience working with diverse student populations and collaborating with families from various cultural backgrounds
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
