School Psychologist - Summary
The role of School Psychologist is pivotal in fostering both the academic and emotional growth of students within the educational environment. As a School Psychologist, you will have a significant impact by providing vital psychological and educational support. Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer and interpret psychoeducational evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning of students.
- Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide strategies and interventions that address student needs across academic, behavioral, and social domains.
- Participate actively in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) frameworks to identify and support students requiring additional assistance.
- Contribute to special education eligibility processes and support compliance with federal and state regulations regarding student services.
- Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention as necessary to promote student well-being and positive school climate.
- Engage in professional development and stay up to date with current research, practices, and legal requirements in school psychology.
- Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement in partnership with staff and the broader school community.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Current, valid state certification as a School Psychologist.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychoeducational assessment, intervention planning, and student support services.
- Strong understanding of RTI and MTSS processes and frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Commitment to ethical standards and legal compliance in the practice of school psychology.
