School Psychologist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer and coordinate psychological test batteries for students referred to special education, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting
- Interpret assessment results for parents and teachers, translating findings into actionable recommendations for learning and behavior support
- Provide staff development on assessment, child development, confidentiality, and special education due process
- Support staff and parents in understanding and applying assessment reports from external agencies or systems
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) team meetings as assigned
- Serve as a liaison between the school and outside agencies, including social service, advocacy, and private examiners
- Offer expertise and guidance on psychological and mental health issues affecting students and staff
- Promote a positive school culture and contribute to staff morale and organizational goals

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in School Psychology required
- Valid School Psychologist Certificate and eligibility for Florida state or educator’s license
- Experience with a variety of psychological and educational assessment instruments
- Ability to build effective relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
