School Nurse RN (CSN) - Summary- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students and staff during school hours
- Develop and manage Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Care Plans (ECPs)
- Ensure compliance with state health regulations and district policies
- Collaborate with school personnel, families, and healthcare providers
- Promote wellness and health education throughout the school community
- Provide direct nursing services, including assessment, treatment, and emergency care
- Administer prescribed medications and medical procedures (diabetic care, G-tube feeding, seizure management)
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with Pennsylvania guidelines
- Conduct routine health screenings (vision, hearing, BMI, scoliosis) and generate required reports
- Monitor immunization status and ensure compliance with state mandates
- Serve as a liaison between home, school, and healthcare providers for continuity of care
- Educate students and staff on health topics, including hygiene, nutrition, mental health, and disease prevention
- Participate in safety and crisis planning, and respond to health emergencies on campus
- Work collaboratively with educators, counselors, and administrators to support student wellness and attendance
