In this School Nurse RN position, you will be responsible for triaging student health concerns, conducting hearing and vision screenings, and administering daily medications as needed. The School Nurse RN acts as the primary point of contact for medical issues that arise within the school setting, providing first aid treatment and managing both acute and chronic health conditions. Additionally, the role includes training school staff on first aid, CPR, and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to ensure the community is prepared for emergencies.
As a School Nurse RN, you will manage both electronic and paper health records with accuracy and confidentiality. The position requires careful attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
