Position Overview for the Scheduler: - Coordinate Staffing: Ensure timely and appropriate staffing for multiple hospice locations, maintaining continuity of care by optimally scheduling Case Managers, RNs, Hospice Aides, Medical Social Workers, and Chaplains.
- Schedule Management: Maintain and coordinate Weekend/Holiday Staff Schedule, On-Call RN schedule, and daily assignments for Hospice Aides, ensuring schedules meet agency policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Communication and Liaison Activities: Act as a liaison between patients, caregivers, and hospice staff, ensuring timely communication of patient needs and schedule changes. Facilitate effective interdepartmental and branch communication.
- Administrative Support: Generate reports, manage schedule changes using HCHB system, and support Director of Patient Care with various administrative tasks. Assist in training and in-service education for other Scheduler staff.
Required Skills for the Scheduler: - Experience scheduling in a high-volume medical imaging center
- Minimum of 2 years of previous office and computer work experience, preferably in a healthcare organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
