SAP IS-U Techno-Functional Consultant
IDR is seeking a highly qualified SAP IS-U Techno-Functional Consultant to join one of our top clients. You will play a pivotal role in analyzing business processes, configuring SAP IS-U modules, and supporting the entire implementation lifecycle from requirements gathering through post-go-live support. SAP IS-U Techno-Functional Consultant - Summary- Acts as a bridge between business users and technical teams for SAP IS-U implementations.
- Focuses on utility industry transformation initiatives, with hands-on SAP IS-U configuration and testing experience.
- Contributes to solution design, requirements gathering, and regulatory compliance efforts within the utilities sector.
- Works full-time in a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
- Serve as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams for SAP IS-U related projects.
- Analyze, interpret, and translate business requirements into functional specifications for SAP IS-U modules, ensuring alignment with industry standards and organizational goals.
- Lead and facilitate workshops to gather, validate, and document business and functional requirements.
- Configure, test, and provide ongoing support for SAP IS-U modules throughout the design, user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover, and go-live phases.
- Collaborate with solution architects, engineers, integration teams, and business stakeholders to maintain project alignment and ensure seamless solution delivery.
- Participate in regulatory compliance initiatives, supporting frameworks such as SOX and NERC as required.
- Utilize strong stakeholder management and communication skills to foster positive working relationships and ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide troubleshooting, debugging, and enhancement suggestions, particularly in ABAP, to optimize SAP IS-U performance.

- 3–7 years of experience in driving utility industry transformation initiatives.
- 2–5 years of hands-on configuration and testing experience within SAP IS-U modules, such as Device Management, Billing & Invoicing, FICA, and Customer Service.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks, including SOX and NERC.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Experience in facilitating workshops and gathering detailed business and functional requirements.
- Familiarity with ABAP debugging or enhancements is considered an asset.
- Possesses a balance of technical and functional expertise in SAP IS-U.
- Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
