Safety Manager (Construction, OSHA Certified) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures at job sites and fabrication facilities.
- Conduct new hire safety orientations for all incoming employees, ensuring a strong foundation in site-specific safety practices.
- Deliver live, comprehensive training for Competent Persons on topics such as Confined Space, Fall Protection, Excavation, and Trenching.
- Perform regular site safety inspections, maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, and ensure all records are compliant.
- Consistently apply and uphold safety programs and policies across all company operations.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, document findings, and recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide on-site safety support during high-risk activities, including crane operations and other critical tasks.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by demonstrating a proactive and visible commitment to safety.
- Coach, mentor, and lead employees in cultivating a safe workplace culture through positive reinforcement and example.
- Collaborate with the Company Loss Control Team and undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of five years of safety experience in the construction industry, with three to five years preferred in large commercial or industrial projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations and standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- OSHA 500 Certification, or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
