Rheumatologist - Summary
- Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management for patients with rheumatic diseases.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with complex rheumatological conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, vasculitis, and other autoimmune or inflammatory disorders.
- Interpret laboratory results, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tests to formulate comprehensive management strategies.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing pharmacologic, non-pharmacologic, and biologic therapies.
- Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment options, and ongoing care requirements.
- Collaborate with referring providers and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in continuing medical education and keep current with advancements in rheumatology.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Support clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects as appropriate.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine followed by fellowship training in Rheumatology.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Rheumatology.
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice as a Rheumatologist.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and interpersonal communication skills.
