The Revenue Cycle Trainer plays a pivotal role in supporting healthcare organizations by providing comprehensive training and ongoing development for Patient Account Representatives (PARs) and other revenue cycle staff. As a key member of the revenue cycle management team, the Revenue Cycle Trainer is responsible for designing, updating, and facilitating training programs that align with industry best practices and organizational goals. This position is essential for ensuring that staff possess the knowledge and skills required to manage billing, insurance denials, accounts receivable, and other revenue cycle functions in accordance with healthcare regulations and client expectations.

Revenue Cycle Trainer - Summary
- Responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for revenue cycle staff.
- Works closely with leadership and subject matter experts to ensure training aligns with organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate training sessions for new hires and existing staff, covering areas such as general billing, follow-up procedures, healthcare payer processes, and client-specific guidelines.
- Develop, update, and maintain training materials and documentation to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct quality control checks and monitor staff performance during and after training sessions.
- Identify gaps in knowledge or skills and recommend targeted training initiatives to address these needs.
- Collaborate with operational and learning and development teams to address quality concerns and enhance training effectiveness.
- Engage in regular meetings with team members, clients, and project stakeholders to gather feedback and share updates.
- Build high-performing teams by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Provide constructive feedback to staff and track progress against key performance indicators.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance company policies and governmental regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, third-party accounts receivable, or revenue cycle training.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in a formal training or facilitator role required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead virtual classrooms with 15 or more participants.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with industry-standard revenue cycle management systems (such as Epic, Cerner, Invision, Soarian, McKesson, Allscripts, Meditech).
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and protection of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with developing training materials and conducting quality assessments.
