Revenue Cycle Team Lead - Summary
- Lead and supervise a remote team of patient account representatives.
- Oversee back-end A/R processes, including claim follow-up and aged account resolution for hospital and physician billing.
- Ensure adherence to organizational procedures and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work closely with senior leadership and clients to address A/R issues and drive process improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and provide oversight to assigned staff, tracking individual and team performance against key performance indicators.
- Ensure staff follow client-specific procedures as outlined in detailed playbooks and procedure documents.
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex issues, answer team questions, and provide policy clarification and feedback.
- Participate in client meetings, providing insight into A/R issues and denial trends.
- Assist in developing and assessing weekly client performance metrics and deliverables.
- Deliver timely and constructive feedback to employees to enhance job performance.
- Lead training sessions and continuing education for assigned staff members.
- Collaborate with organizational leadership and stakeholders to maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Coordinate with training specialists to stay current with regulatory changes and update training materials as needed.
- Assist in the orientation and onboarding of new hires.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of hospital and physician revenue cycle operations, specializing in billing, follow-up, and third-party A/R account resolution.
- Safeguard protected health information (PHI) and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Exhibit strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other revenue cycle management systems.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience with a focus on supervising staff and 3rd party A/R management.
- Associate degree or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Hands-on experience with industry-recognized revenue cycle management systems such as Epic, Cerner, Invision, Soarian, McKesson, or Allscripts preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare billing, follow-up, and denial management processes.
- Knowledge of privacy regulations and best practices for handling PHI.
