Restaurant Manager - Summary
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and supporting the growth and development of staff. This role collaborates closely with the General Manager to monitor business performance, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and contribute to the restaurant’s ongoing success.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring every guest enjoys a positive and memorable dining experience, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Assist the General Manager in all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
- Motivate, support, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house teams—including hosts, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff—by fostering teamwork and providing ongoing training.
- Supervise staff activities to maintain efficient workflow and uphold quality and service standards, offering guidance and resolving issues as needed.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on inventory management, including monitoring levels, conducting counts, and ordering supplies as necessary.
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and service meet or exceed company standards; perform regular inspections to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Promote sales and encourage upselling of menu items to maximize revenue.
- Participate in cash handling, sales reconciliation, and daily deposit preparation, while helping control expenses to achieve financial targets.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support health, safety, and operational compliance.

- At least three years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-volume, casual dining restaurant setting.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and interpersonal communication.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and leadership abilities.

- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including inventory and cost control.
