Restaurant Manager Job DescriptionWe are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at a polished casual steakhouse. As a Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting daily restaurant operations, promoting exceptional customer service, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience for every guest. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing success of the restaurant.
Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding customer service by ensuring every guest receives a positive and memorable dining experience. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and maintaining organization and cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
- Support and motivate both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, including hosts, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encourage teamwork, and provide ongoing training and support to team members.
- Supervise and coordinate staff activities to ensure efficient workflow and consistent adherence to quality and service standards. Offer guidance and coaching to enhance team performance and resolve any operational issues.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to monitor inventory levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and place orders with suppliers as needed. Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of food and beverage items to maintain quality and minimize waste.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, cleanliness, and established operational procedures.
- Support sales initiatives and encourage upselling of menu items to drive revenue growth within the restaurant.
- Assist with cash handling procedures, including reconciling daily sales and preparing deposits. Contribute to monitoring and managing expenses to achieve financial targets and support the restaurant's profitability.
- Ensure strict compliance with food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documentation as required for regulatory compliance.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-volume, casual dining environment.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Thorough understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and cost control procedures.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
