Restaurant Manager Job DescriptionThe Restaurant Manager position is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the daily operations and overall success of a casual steakhouse. As a Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager and other team members to ensure the restaurant delivers an exceptional guest experience, maintains high standards of food quality and service, and operates efficiently and profitably. This full-time opportunity provides room for personal and professional growth within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding customer service, making sure that every guest enjoys a positive and memorable dining experience. Promptly address customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns with professionalism and care.
- Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout the location.
- Support and motivate both front-of-house and back-of-house teams, such as hosts, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff. Foster a collaborative work environment, promote teamwork, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff members.
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff activities to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to high standards of quality and service. Offer guidance, coaching, and feedback to drive team performance and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to monitor inventory levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and place orders with suppliers as necessary. Ensure all food and beverage items are stored and rotated properly for freshness and quality.
- Uphold strict standards of food quality, presentation, and service. Conduct routine inspections to verify compliance with health and safety regulations, cleanliness standards, and established company procedures.
- Support sales-driving initiatives by encouraging upselling of menu items and enhancing the overall guest experience.
- Assist with cash handling procedures, including reconciling sales and preparing daily bank deposits. Help monitor and control expenses to ensure financial targets are met.
- Maintain ongoing compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols. Keep accurate and current records and documentation as required.
- At least three (3) years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-volume, casual dining environment.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of motivating and inspiring teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, and hospitality best practices.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and cost control strategies.
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to meet the needs of the business.
