Restaurant Manager Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Restaurant Manager to join a casual steakhouse team in Aurora, CO. This full-time role offers a dynamic work environment where you will be responsible for supporting daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and contributing to a top-tier dining experience. As a Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager and team members to maintain high standards of quality, service, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding customer service to all guests, aiming to make each dining experience positive and memorable. Address guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing restaurant operations, including daily opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout the restaurant.
- Support, motivate, and lead front-of-house and back-of-house staff, such as hosts/hostesses, servers, bartenders, and kitchen team members. Foster a collaborative and positive workplace culture, promote teamwork, and provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Coordinate and supervise restaurant staff activities, ensuring efficient workflow and strict adherence to quality and service standards. Offer guidance and coaching to improve performance and promptly address any personnel issues.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to monitor inventory levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and place orders with suppliers as needed. Ensure correct storage and rotation of food and beverage items to maintain freshness and compliance with health standards.
- Uphold high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. Conduct regular inspections to guarantee adherence to health and safety regulations and ensure cleanliness and proper procedure compliance.
- Contribute to sales growth initiatives, including upselling menu items and promoting restaurant specials.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, such as reconciling daily sales and preparing deposits. Assist in monitoring and controlling operational expenses to support the achievement of financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols. Maintain accurate and updated records as required by law and company policy.
- At least three (3) years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-volume, casual dining setting.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of motivating and developing team members.
- Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations and service standards.
- Experience with POS systems and restaurant management software.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and cost control practices.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and managing high-pressure situations.
- Willingness and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
