Restaurant General Manager - Summary
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of restaurant operations. This includes leading staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving financial performance. You will work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to achieve operational goals and maintain the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all restaurant functions, including food preparation, service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, health codes, and company policies.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor restaurant staff to create a high-performing and collaborative team. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to foster professional growth and ensure consistent delivery of excellent service.
- Customer Service: Set and maintain high standards for guest interactions, addressing feedback with professionalism and a solution-focused approach. Develop a culture of hospitality that exceeds guest expectations.
- Financial Management: Monitor key financial indicators, including sales, inventory, costs, and profitability. Develop and execute strategies to enhance revenue, control expenses, and achieve budgetary targets.
- Quality Control: Ensure all menu items meet quality, presentation, and consistency standards. Conduct regular quality assessments and implement improvements as needed.
- Staff Training & Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure staff proficiency in service standards, operational procedures, and menu knowledge. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional advancement.

Qualifications & Requirements
- At least five (5) years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Managing Partner in a high-volume, full-service restaurant environment
- Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and motivational skills
- Strong understanding of both front-of-house and back-of-house operations
- Exceptional customer service abilities and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and cost control strategies
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
