Restaurant General Manager (Fast Casual, Full-Time) Overview
We are actively seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant General Manager (GM) to lead our dynamic fast-casual restaurant team. Key Responsibilities
- Guest Experience: Ensure every guest receives exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere and promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner.
- Operational Support: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and maintaining a clean, organized environment throughout the establishment.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house teams, including hosts/hostesses, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff. Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality and service standards. Offer guidance, coaching, and support to enhance team performance and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Inventory and Ordering: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and manage ordering with suppliers. Ensure proper storage, rotation, and handling of all food and beverage items.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and internal procedures.
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Support initiatives to drive sales, increase customer engagement, and upsell menu items to maximize revenue.
- Cash Handling and Financial Management: Participate in cash handling procedures, reconcile sales, prepare daily deposits, and contribute to monitoring and controlling operational expenses to help achieve financial targets.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by local and state authorities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager, preferably in a fast-casual or quick-service environment.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant operations, service standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and restaurant management software.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and cost control procedures.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage stressful situations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
