Residential Program Manager
The Residential Program Manager plays a crucial role in supporting women and children by maintaining a safe, structured, and nurturing environment within a residential setting. This position, available as a permanent, part-time opportunity, is designed for individuals who are highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others thrive. Working for a not-for-profit organization, the Residential Program Manager is responsible for the smooth daily operations of the residence and for fostering a supportive atmosphere for all residents.
Key Responsibilities
- House Maintenance: Schedule, coordinate, and oversee routine maintenance activities throughout the facility. Manage vendor relationships for repairs and services, and ensure all maintenance work complies with safety and inspection standards.
- Volunteer Coordination: Collaborate with volunteers on maintenance projects and facility improvements, ensuring that all tasks are conducted efficiently and support the mission of the program.
- Resident Support: Implement and monitor chore schedules for residents, conduct regular room inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety, and distribute household supplies as needed.
- Supply & Donation Management: Organize and track household inventory, coordinate the acceptance and distribution of in-kind donations, and maintain an up-to-date wish list to meet ongoing needs.
- On-Call & General Duties: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to address after-hours emergencies, and manage the distribution of resident mail and other general operational duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with residents, staff, and volunteers.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and an understanding of the challenges faced by families in residential programs.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain appropriate ethical boundaries and confidentiality.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and obtain all necessary child abuse clearances as required by law.
