If you are interested in contributing to important research that helps product and service teams design with real people in mind, we invite you to participate as a Research Study Participant in a video-based project. This opportunity is specifically tailored for adults aged 65 and older to help researchers gain insights into everyday movements in a friendly and supportive studio environment. As a Research Study Participant, you will engage in a brief, comfortable session involving simple physical activities, all while being guided by experienced moderators who prioritize your comfort and well-being throughout the process.
The research session is designed to be straightforward and accessible, requiring no special skills or prior experience. The entire session lasts approximately 90 minutes and is held in a professional studio setting. During your visit, you will be asked to perform basic movements such as sitting, standing, and gently turning your head. These activities are easy, low-impact, and intended to reflect normal, day-to-day motion. There is no heavy lifting, stretching beyond your comfort level, or fast or repetitive movements involved. Moderators will demonstrate each activity and invite you to follow along at your own pace, ensuring that you feel safe and supported at every step.
Before the session begins, you will go through a brief check-in and orientation. This provides an opportunity for you to become familiar with the studio environment and ask any questions you may have. Moderators are attentive to your needs and will make adjustments to the activities if you experience any discomfort. Supportive equipment such as chairs with arms, step stools, and grip rails are available for your use. If you rely on mobility aids like a cane or walker, you are welcome to keep them with you during the entire session. For your comfort, it is recommended that you wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that allows for natural movement.
As a thank you for your time and participation as a Research Study Participant, you will receive a compensation payment. This payment is delivered digitally within 24 hours of completing the session. During your visit, light refreshments including coffee, tea, water, and packaged snacks will be available in a comfortable lounge area to help you feel at ease. All details regarding payment will be confirmed during your check-in process.
Sessions are scheduled in advance and begin promptly to respect your time. You will receive the studio address and parking information in your confirmation details. Please remember to bring a photo ID for building access, and it is suggested to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to allow for a relaxed check-in experience. Your privacy is a top priority; video recordings are used strictly for research and training purposes and are never shared publicly. Prior to starting, you will review a simple consent form and have the opportunity to ask any questions. You may withdraw from the session at any time if you choose.
Participating in this research study is not a medical evaluation or fitness test. The primary goal is to observe and understand everyday motions in a safe and supportive setting. If you have concerns about a recent injury or medical condition, please consult your healthcare provider before attending the session. Our team is available to answer any questions or address concerns before your visit to ensure you feel prepared and comfortable.
To join as a Research Study Participant, simply click the apply button and complete a brief intake form. You will then receive a confirmation with your appointment details and directions. Upon arrival, check in with your photo ID, and enjoy a relaxed, guided session. After completing the session, you will receive your compensation within 24 hours.
