We are seeking individuals to join as a Research Study Participant for a video-based research project. This is an opportunity to help researchers better understand normal movement patterns in adults, which will inform the development of products and services that improve lives.
As a Research Study Participant, you will be invited to attend a 90-minute, in-person session at our dedicated studio. During the session, our moderators will guide you through a variety of simple, everyday movements while recording the activities on video for research and training purposes only. Your participation is valuable and will directly support the advancement of user-focused design and product development.
The session is thoughtfully designed to ensure your comfort and safety at every step. All activities are low-impact and require no special skills or prior experience. Our moderators will be present throughout to demonstrate each movement, answer your questions, and make any necessary adjustments to the activities to accommodate your comfort and mobility needs. If you use a cane, walker, or other assistive device, you are encouraged to bring it with you and use it during the session. Comfort aids such as chairs with arms, step stools, and grip rails are available on site.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our team and provided with a brief orientation. The activities include simple movements such as sitting down and standing up from a chair, gently turning your head, and pausing between movements to allow for clear video capture. There is no heavy lifting, stretching, or rapid motion involved. If any movement feels uncomfortable, you can request modifications or skip that activity without any obligation. Breaks are available at any time, and your well-being is always our top priority.
As a thank you for your time and participation, you will receive a $100 payment within 24 hours of completing the session. Light refreshments, including coffee, tea, water, and packaged snacks, will be provided in a comfortable lounge area throughout your visit. The studio environment is designed to be welcoming and accessible, with amenities to support participants with diverse needs.
Scheduling is flexible and sessions are booked in advance to ensure prompt service and respect for your time. You will receive a confirmation email with your appointment details, studio address, and parking information. Please bring a photo ID for building access and plan to arrive a few minutes early to allow for check-in.
We strictly adhere to privacy and consent guidelines. All videos are used exclusively for research and training and are never shared publicly. Before the session begins, you will be asked to review and sign a simple consent form, and our team will answer any questions you may have. Participation is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw from the session at any time should you choose to do so.
