Research Study Participant – Video Project
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our in-person research video project as a Research Study Participant. This opportunity is open to adults from a variety of backgrounds who are interested in contributing to valuable research focused on everyday movement and comfort. The study is conducted at our dedicated studio in Midtown, New York, and is designed to be highly accessible, requiring no previous experience or special skills.
As a Research Study Participant, you will take part in a guided session lasting approximately 60 minutes. During this time, our friendly moderators will walk you through a series of straightforward, low-impact activities—such as sitting, standing, and gently moving your head. The purpose of these activities is to capture natural movement on video for research and training use only.
We prioritize your comfort and accessibility throughout the session. Our studio is equipped with chairs with arms, step stools, and grip rails to support you as needed. If you use mobility aids like a cane or walker, you are welcome to bring them along and use them during the session. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. If at any point you experience discomfort, please let your moderator know so we can adjust or skip any activity as needed. Breaks are available upon request, ensuring a relaxed and pressure-free environment.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our staff and guided through a brief orientation and check-in process. A moderator will demonstrate each movement before inviting you to try it at your own pace. Examples of activities include standing up from a chair, gently turning your head, and pausing between movements for clear video capture. There is no heavy lifting, fast-paced, or repetitive motion required.
Participants will receive a $100 payment as a thank you for their time and contribution. Payment is issued digitally within 24 hours of session completion. Light refreshments—including coffee, tea, water, and packaged snacks—are available throughout your visit in a comfortable lounge area.
All sessions are scheduled in advance, beginning promptly to respect your time. You will receive the exact studio address and parking details in your confirmation email. Please remember to bring a photo ID for building access and plan to arrive 5–10 minutes early for a smooth check-in process.
