Research Study Participant opportunities are now available for individuals interested in contributing to an observational video project. This unique position invites teens aged 13 to 19, along with their parents or legal guardians if under 18, to join a professionally moderated research session at our dedicated studio. The main objective of this research is to observe simple movements and collect video data for study purposes, strictly adhering to participant privacy standards and not involving any form of public performance or audition.
Our studio in New York provides a welcoming, structured environment. Each Research Study Participant will engage in a single, approximately 60- to 90-minute in-person video session. No prior experience, special skills, or preparation is required—simply arrive as yourself. A trained moderator will guide you through a series of easy, low-key activities such as sitting, standing, gently turning your head, and maintaining a neutral posture. The purpose is to observe natural movement and gather valuable research insights, not to test or evaluate participants in any way.
We emphasize comfort and safety throughout the process. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who will be required to provide consent and may either participate in the session or remain in the waiting area with refreshments provided. Our research team follows comprehensive safety-first protocols at all times, ensuring a secure and supportive environment for all involved. Moderators are experienced in working with teens and families, and breaks are available as needed so you always feel at ease during the session.
Upon arrival, each Research Study Participant will check in, meet their moderator, and review the session plan. All activities are demonstrated beforehand, and participants will be prompted with simple questions related to comfort and posture. There is no choreography, no stunts, and absolutely no requirement for performance. Our focus is strictly on observational research, and all video recordings are used solely for internal research purposes.
Compensation for participation is promptly delivered within 24 hours of completing the session, using secure digital payment methods. For each teen who participates, a payment of $50 is provided, with an additional $50 for the accompanying parent or guardian. If the parent or guardian also chooses to participate, the compensation is increased by $100. Snacks and beverages are available on site for both the participant and accompanying adult, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
To prepare for your session, we ask that you bring a valid photo ID, such as a student ID, and wear comfortable, logo-free clothing with closed-toe shoes. This attire allows the camera to focus on your natural movement without any distractions. Detailed instructions regarding the studio location, parking, and arrival procedures will be sent in your confirmation email after your application is processed.
The application process is straightforward. Simply apply using the provided online form. Once you are selected, you will receive a confirmation email with your appointment details and further instructions. On the day of your session, arrive at the studio with your parent or legal guardian if you are under 18. After check-in, you will complete the guided session, and compensation will be processed within one business day.
