As a Research Study Participant, you will take part in a 90-minute, in-person video session at our studio, where your comfort, safety, and privacy are prioritized at every step.
Located in Irvington, New Jersey, our research studio is designed to be fully accessible and welcoming, with amenities to ensure your experience is both relaxed and enjoyable. The main goal of the session is to observe how adults over 65 move in typical, everyday scenarios. The activities involved are low-impact, simple, and fully guided by professional moderators who will be present throughout your visit to answer questions, demonstrate tasks, and adjust the session based on your comfort level.
During your session as a Research Study Participant, you will engage in a series of gentle movements, such as sitting, standing, and turning your head. All exercises are performed at your own pace—there is no heavy lifting, no strenuous or repetitive movements, and you may take breaks at any time. The session will be video recorded for research and training purposes only, and your privacy will be protected at all times.
Our studio is equipped with chairs that have arms, step stools, and grip rails to support your comfort. If you use mobility aids such as a cane or walker, you are welcome to bring them and use them during the study. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing that allows for natural movement.
All participants will review and sign a simple consent form before beginning the session, ensuring you fully understand how your video data will be used and your rights as a participant. You may withdraw from the study at any time, with no obligation to complete the session. After successfully completing your session, you will receive compensation delivered digitally within 24 hours. Light refreshments, such as coffee, tea, water, and packaged snacks, are provided in our comfortable lounge area for your enjoyment throughout your visit.
