Participants in the Research Participant – Home Video Study will be asked to record 6–10 hours of their typical daily activities over a two-day window. This will involve using provided equipment, such as a small 360° camera and an audio recorder, to capture a variety of everyday moments including cooking, cleaning, watching TV, engaging in hobbies, caring for pets, and more. The equipment will be delivered to and picked up from your home by a study moderator, ensuring a simple and convenient experience. All video and audio collected will be used strictly for research and training purposes and will never be shared publicly, ensuring your privacy and comfort throughout the process.
Participants have full control over when and where recording takes place in their home. You may pause, skip, or stop recording at any time if you feel uncomfortable, and you are encouraged to avoid capturing any sensitive personal or work-related information. Prior to participation, all household members will be required to review and sign a simple consent form. Should you wish to withdraw from the study at any point, you are free to do so without penalty.
As a Research Participant – Home Video Study, you will receive a total of $600 per household as compensation for completing the project. Payment will be made in two installments: $100 after equipment pickup and initial validation, and $500 following quality confirmation of the recordings. The scheduling of the study sessions will be arranged in advance to accommodate your availability, and all logistics related to equipment will be handled by the research team for your convenience.
